Thank you Tameside Council

The preparation and planning for the main lake circular pathway continued today with a major step forward.  Two bulk loads of road planings were delivered to Hurst Angling Club, approximately thirty four tons, thanks very much goes to Tameside council (Rebecca Paul) for sourcing the product, arranging and organising the delivery, Rebecca said she would assist the club in obtaining the bulk planings and has been more than good to her word, thanks again Rebecca.

The company providing the planings, A & T Surfacing Ltd are based at Heywood, the driver representing the company skillfully maneuvered the extremely clean  eight wheel twin steer rigid lorry into position so that the two bulk loads could be placed adjacent to the perimeter fence but keeping the main car park area usable for the fishing car traffic during the pathway construction.  Committee planning meeting scheduled for this evening to move things forward to the next stage.
