Timber Treatment

Published on 26 March 2026 at 19:00

Thursday March 26

Today club volunteers treated a large amount of timber ready for the pathway construction, the timber is to be used to form the walls of the path, a messy job for sure but the weather was kind once again and didn't affect the task or us.  Completing the work took a little longer than anticipated but we got there in the end, many thanks to the guys that made the effort and turned out, giving up three hours of their time and didn't mind to much getting dirty, once a production line type work stream was established, it was just a case of staying motivated and getting the work completed.

We used approximately 70 litres of treatment fluid to complete the task, long brush handles and a decent mop making the task so much easier, Steve B and Dave T definitely got their steps in today, Ken flexed his muscles and even  James got his hands dirty (well his gloves at least)

Thanks again everyone for turning out, camaraderie at its best and the banter made the work easier
