Pathway update

Monday February 16th

We have reconsidered the project for the hard stand pathway at the main lake.  Reinstating the pathway around the entire main lake is to be completed before we fit the drainage system.

Preparation for the project is underway, will need approximately five hundred metres of timber to form the sidewalls of the pathway and between forty and sixty tonnes of bulk material to form the path, initially it was planned for the path to cover just the westbank, at the Feb club meeting members suggested completing a pathway the whole way around the large lake in one go, planned for one weeks work in March, the task is within the clubs capabilities. After discussions with club members the preferred option was to have a short 1.5 metre lead from the peg to the main pathway, the main pathway being 1.5 metres wide all the way around.

Once completed we are hoping for a similar look to the one below

It was agreed to fit the land drain on the westbank after the circular pathway had been completed.  The land drain work is now anticipated to start during spring 2026
